Educating Nita Ch. 5 Pt. 2
(Please go back and read Nita V for the first part of this chapter)
I shouted up the stairs, "Come on Nita, we're burning daylight."
I was heading to the garage when I heard her thundering down the stairs, she charged through the door I'd just exited and nearly knocked me off my feet as she jumped on my back and yelled, "Piggyback ride to the car"
Her arms grabbed my neck as her bare legs wrapped around me. I decided to carry this lovely creature to the car on my back.
As we headed to the garage she put her lips to my ear and asked, "Aren't we taking the Caddy?" I looked over at her and said, "No, I thought we'd take the Aston for a change, it needs to be run, it's been too long since I had her out."
She rattled off, "Oh, that's really cool, I love the Aston."
It was probably my only real extravagance, but when I made my last deal, the money was there, so I decided to buy myself something. The obvious choice was a car. I wanted a sports type of car but I really liked the feel you get from a big car.
I looked at the Corvette, Maserati, Porsche, BMW, McLaren, Alfa; you name it I drove it. Then a friend told me about the Aston Martin.
I saw the DB7 Vantage and knew that was the one! This car had a V12 with 420 horses, 0 to 100mph in eleven seconds, convertible, British Racing green with tan leather interior and just about every option available. It set me back over my 10% budget, but what the hell!
Heather loved to ride in it, though she never attempted to drive it, smart woman that she is.
The sun was still shining brightly, hardly a cloud in the sky and as I was turning around in the courtyard Nita yelled, "Stop." As I skidded to a halt, she looked over at me and said, "Put the top down" "Good idea, I think I will."
With the sun in our faces and the wind in our hair we set off for Amy's house, which is about two miles ahead as you head into the city of Richmond, which is a further ten miles away. I never left 2nd gear on the way down our winding drive. This has Nita holding on for dear life because this car does almost 90 in 2nd
As I was careening down the driveway, I thought of how I came to be here.
I bought the property shortly before I asked Heather to marry me. Knowing I was to take a wife, I knew I'd need somewhere to keep them. It was really just vacant farmland outside the hushed suburbia of Richmond. I had an apartment in the city but Heather and Nita had lived in this town for several years.
When I showed Heather she was a little dubious being 2 miles out of town, besides she was looking at about 25 acres of neglected crops, shabby fencing and another 25 acres of woodland.
I assured her with the migration of people out of Richmond this would be an ideal location. We had great roads into town, in fact, Nita's best friend was only 2 miles away, she was still dubious, and so I showed her the plans for the house.
I guess she assumed we'd be living in the farmhouse! I showed her the plans for a sprawling, column fronted colonial house covering five floors with plenty of space for the three of us.
The house would be set back about 1/5th of a mile from the road so there was plenty of privacy. We would clear a few acres of land for gardens and the like, space for a pool, a pool house anything we wanted.
She just looked at me and stammered, "David how much is this going to cost, can we afford it; what with the wedding and everything?"
I collected my sweet, lovely fiancé into my arms, brushed the windswept hair from her amazing face and said, "It's already bought and paid for my sweet Cherie'"
She looked up into my eyes with such innocence and love and asked, "But how could you have done this, I know you make a good living, but David this is going to cost a few hundred thousand dollars, where will we get the money to live?"
I looked at Heather, took her hands in mine and said, "Heather I'm not an employee at my company." She looked at me and said, "Huh?"
"Sweetheart sit down, I work there yes, but I own the place, I thought you knew!" She just looked at me, stunned I think "But darling, but how --- when ----what---." Then she turned on me and we had our first argument.

She was furious, "How dare you buy and plan our house without consulting me." I let her rant and rave for another 10 minutes, then when she was finished and demanded, "Well what have you got to say?"
I looked seriously into her eyes, pretending to appreciate her outrage and said, "Look at this." "What is it," she answered sharply. I slowly said, "It's the interior design of the house."
"I don't want to even look at the inside of this house, I wasn't con----." "Will you shut up and look," I demanded.
She turned at the sharp rebuke and actually looked at the plans, which were obviously blank. She looked at me and said, "There's nothing there!"
I touched her face gently and said, "Of course not, because you haven't designed it yet, have you?"
She looked at me with a glazed expression, as the tears started to fill her eyes, she stammered, "Oh okay, but--, and how are we---, David what?"
I pulled her to me then, I wiped the tears from her eyes and just said, "Listen to me now, I always prayed I'd find someone like you, this is my wedding present to you, I love you to distraction and the only way I could think of to thank you for that, was this."
She looked up at me and slowly ran her fingers through my hair, and then cradling my face in her hands, she kissed me. She kissed me like I've never been kissed. Because someone I loved this much before had never kissed me.
I was lucky beyond reason. I made a good living, I had a wife that cherished me, and I absolutely worshipped.
I was snapped out of my reverie when we got to Amy's house. Nita jumped out and ran to the door. Before the bell could ring, Amy came running out.
It was true about woman calling each other to see what they were wearing. Nita and Amy were identically dressed, well almost. Nita was wearing a short black skirt and white top; Amy was wearing a short white skirt and black top. Both had black flat shoes and no pantyhose, and both had their hair tied up.
As they were getting in, I shook my head ruefully and commented on the clothing. They both just looked at me and laughed.
I drove serenely down the highway, much to the displeasure of these two hellions, who kept demanding me to floor it.
We, however, arrived at the mall in good time and headed into TGI Fridays for lunch.
Once we were seated and ordered, Amy commented, "Wow this is the first time a guy has taken me to a restaurant where you order at the table." She and Nita then burst into fits of giggles.
I glanced across the booth at them and was transfixed by their appearance. Dressed oppositely, they also differed in their looks. Amy had long, straight, brown hair, big brown eyes, tall and slim with smallish pointed breasts. She was also a true southern miss, with the expected southern drawl.
She was also an outrageous flirt; as Nita would say she" flirts with anything in pants."
We sat having a pleasant chat until the wings arrived and we devoured those, and then continued our conversation.
The current topic was "Who was seeing whom" at the junior college they both attended.
Amy was jokingly saying, "Nita can't find a boyfriend because everyone is afraid to ask her out." "Why is that?" said I. Amy replied, "Well look at her, she's gorgeous, every guy there wants to date her but their all afraid to ask her out, I've told her to do what I do but she won't."
"Why, what do you do Amy?" "Hell, if I like the look of a guy I ask him out" she replied boldly.
Nita sharply said, "When I meet a guy who can look me in the eyes when he talks to me instead of looking at my chest I might ask him out."
I sort of blushed at this and asked, "Maybe we should change the topic huh ladies?"
They both looked at me and had another quick giggle and both commented on my being a prude!
